Modular and multifunctional system for convivial spaces, adapted to modern small residential spaces.

This project started with the creation of a modular coffee table pro- totype, designed to be visually appealing, functional, and easy to move for my own place.
By integrating this piece into a daily domestic setting, I envisioned its evolution: it became more than just furniture; it’s a central element in everyday life, adaptable to various contexts beyond the home.

The archetype of table, available in different forms, sizes, and materials, symbolizes hospitality and connection
representing the heart of the home across cultures, supporting diverse daily activities: work, dining, play, and creativity.

The design combines the simple, modular cube with the idea of the traditional Japanese chabudai table, inspiring its multifunctionality, flexibility, and mobility.
Each module is a black lacquered MDF cube, with colorful casters for easy movement and steel trays that magnetically attach to the top, offering versatility.
Individually, modules can also serve as independent storage units for books, dishes, and other household items and eventually being stacked.

The steel trays bring an engaging, playful aspect to the project, designed for diverse uses, both culinary and beyond: three elements are primarily designed, the bowl, the zigzag and the ikebana. These three trays are just some examples for the many designed for the upcoming production.
